Compact Flash card is not visible
It can be the a bad card of course, but they are
very reliable. Probably the reason is the broken tenon, wich pushes the CF hood detector
switch. Look at the picture: when you close the CF slot lid, the small cam on it (shown
with the right arrow) pushes the tenon (shown with the left arrow), which presses on the
CF switch. When you open the CF lid, even if the workin card is in, the Psion's system
screen shows "Disk not present" message, because the switch is off. When the
tenon breakes one day, it doesn't press on the swith anymore, even if the card is in and
the lid is closed. The only way to fix it is to put the new bottom lid (costs some money).
I tried to glue the tenon with no success.
