Joachim Tuss CENTURY <Joachim.Tus@t-online.de>Winterberg, Germany - Tuesday, November 3, 1998 at 23:07:00 Hello Mr Lawton! I really enjoy listening to your albums with Uriah Heep. Especially Innocent Victim really has a special edge. Hope to see you Live sometime in the future. Come to Gothenburg where you have some fans! If so, play only Uriah Heep songs (or a majority of the set). Thanks, and see you on tour! Thomas Bokgren <Ace_Bokgren@yahoo.com>Gothenburg, Sweden - Friday, October 30, 1998 at 16:23:29 Good evening! I'd like to send out my deepest respect to this man, mr Lawton. In his Heep days he brought new life into the band and gave us the beautiful "Firefly", the ass-kicking "Innocent Victim" and the true masterpiece, "Fallen Angel". I really hope I'll be able to catch John live some time in the future. Keep rockin an' rollin! Daniel Reichberg <reichberg@hotmail.com>Gothenburg, Sweden - Friday, October 30, 1998 at 16:18:47 Love Lucifer's Friend album "Mind Exploding", standout tracks "Fugitive" and "Broken Toys". However, I have never heard your song directly. A lot of fans of yours exist in Japan. The fan of you who don't have a personal computer, too, exists. You have never held a concert in Japan. My asking, saying my holds a concert in Japan by all means when music is being activated by you and my wanting of it Then, there is not opportunity which meets you, too, and I don't want to die. I hope you,you play the compilation of the 30 year history by the about 2 hour concert. Japanese John Lawton fan continued to wait for you in 30 years. Then, Japanese John Lawton fan continues to wait for you from now, too. By all means, you come to Japan and hold your concert! Akiyoshi Takayama <yansama@pop07.odn.ne.jp>TOKYO, JAPAN - Sunday, September 20, 1998 at 06:35:25 Lawton Rules! He was by far the best singer Uriah Heep ever had. I just wish that Heep would let him do a song or two on all of thier future releases. Cheers Erik Evanto <Kadath9969@aol.com>Granville, WV, USA - Monday, September 14, 1998 at 10:35:22 Hi John & Iris, great to get to know you at these german gigs. We enjoyed your gigs very much, GunHill sounds very tight indeed and John sang like he could keep singing on FOR EVER, performing old and new songs with his signature voice. And of the new CD "Wall Of Silence!, "Donエt Stop Believing" and "Clearwater Highway" are ace and went down superb during the show. All the Best from Hartmut and Ina, Toralf & Kathleen (a.k.a. the inhabitants of the yellow building) Hartmut Kreckel <hartmutk@metronet.de>Berlin, Germany - Monday, September 14, 1998 at 00:33:45 Hiya John, excellent website, very well put together. Really enjoyed it! Glad to see there's plenty of Heep & Lawton fans out there still! John - hope to see ya in North America soon! Kevin Julie <lunytune@vaxxine.com>St Catharines, Ont., Canada - Saturday, September 5, 1998 at 02:43:05 Stumbling upon this website and remembering Uriah Heep's songs brought back pleasant memories of one of the best times in my life. The vocals on "Free Me", "July Morning", "Illusion" and "The Dance" are amazing! Pina Broccoli-Nunes <pnunes@savethechildren.ca>Toronto, Canada - Wednesday, September 2, 1998 at 04:36:22 I bought "Lucifer's Friend" in 1972. I still have the vinyl, I am looking for the CD. Does it exist? I LOVE the album. It is one of my all-time favorites. I never new anything about the band until I visited this web site today. Did John do the fantastic scream on the title cut in 1 take? Awesome scream. The best of from that era. The album I have is on the "billingsgate" label. Please let me know about the availability of the album on CD. I consider this ablum to be the best "dark" rock ablum ever done. I still get tingles when I hear the part after "everybody's clown" where he sings "stop the world, I feel tired of life, and in my head I'm so confused. Think of little people in their big machines, that haven't got the time to feel used..." OR, the song that has the words "blackness sliding everywhere..."in it has got the nicest, sweetest guitars in sync that I have ever heard. Ever. The guitars, the melody, the singing - the best. Kurt Monroe Kurt Monroe <kurt.monroe@hmrag.com>Cincinnati, usa - Monday, August 31, 1998 at 23:41:32 Hi John! Bob Hall <rhhall@dnc.net>sherwood, usa - Thursday, July 2, 1998 at 08:34:09 Dear friends, As an old John Lawton and Les Humphries Singers fan, first of all, I congratulate you to your webside! In the 70' ,I did see John several times on stage with the famous LHS. That time, I did know an other singer of the Les Humphries Singers personally, his name is Victor Scott. I was running the "Victor Scott Fan Club " in Berne, Switzerland. Later we lost contacts. Today, after a very long time, I would like to get in touch with Victor again. Does somebody knows, where Victor stays, and what he is doing now? Maybe YOU JOHN ? Please send me an e-mail, thank you! P.S. I am waiting for the new version of Mama Loo! The old version of Mama Loo is back in the Top 100 Oldies of Radio Foerderband Bern! In Deutsch Gesucht: Victor Scott (Ex-Les Humphries Singers) Liebe Freunde, Ich kannte den Les Humphries Saenger Victor Scott waehrend den 70'er Jahren. Waehrend der Zeit seiner Solo-Karriere in der Schweiz, leitete ich in jungen Jahren seinen Fanclub. Falls jemand seine heutige (Kontakt-)Adresse kennt, oder eine Ahnung hat, was aus ihm geworden ist, schickt mir doch bitte ein E-mail! Andreas Thomann <thomann@vbi.unibe.ch>Bern, Switzerland - Wednesday, June 17, 1998 at 13:32:26 Hi John. Way back in 1973 when Larry was a hippie, everyone I knew was up in arms about the first Lucifers Friend album. I must have lisened to it 1000 times. It was advertized as "the best hard rock album since Led Zepplin 2". I still love it now, and listen to it all the time. Hearing the old time metal stuff makes you realize how pathtic todays "manson-deathmetal-blackmetal" shit is, and should be banashed to the outer darkness where it belongs. Ozzy and Sabbath are still great, and so are you. Let the fucking punks think were old farts. At least our music needed talent to play. A trained monkey on speed could play todays shit. Love Peace Far Out and groovy man. Pass me the boones farm. Lets keep rockin till were 99 years old. Larry. PS After the rapture the first empty car I find is mine.
