Gun Hill have incorporated some of the best received numbers of their live set, onto the recording. The memorable "Eleanor Rigby" has been done in a rocky style, the way only Gun Hill can.

There are five original numbers on the CD, which include three songs written by Lawton and by member's of Lucifer's Friend, coupled with the haunting song, "Wall of Silence". Nightheat is a showcase of Gun Hill's musical and vocal talent, ranging from melodic rock to fine ballads and can only further their popularity and prospects.
