Ex-Uriah Heep frontman, ex-Les
Humphries Singer and vocalist with the legendary German cult band Lucifer's
Friend, he has built a reputation on his powerful vocals. John has
worked with some of the biggest names in rock, on various projects including
Roger Glover's "Butterfly Ball"
live at the Royal Albert Hall, with David Coverdale, Glenn Hughes,
Ian Gillan, Ray Fenwick and Twiggy (???). Eddie
Hardin's "Wizzard's Convention II"
with Chris Farlowe, Denny Laine, Paul Jones and Tony
Ashton. John has also worked with some of the best record producers
including Tony Clarke (Moody Blues), Jimmy Miller
(Rolling Stones) and Harald Faltermeyer (Pet Shop Boys)
who produced the titles John sang on the Lenny McDowell Project,
"Lost Paradise".
He sang with German rock band Zar on three albums including their hit singles "Line of Fire" and "Eagle's Flight"; Volker Barber's classical Fast Forward project "Excalibur"; backing vocals on the Channel 5 album, "Painted Nights" . In '95, he rejoined Uriah Heep for two weeks, to tour South Africa with Deep Purple, filling in for their singer who had suffered voice problems. John also sang several German commercials including the "Colgate Gel" TV spots, the "Peter Stuyvesand Travel" TV spots, the Stuyvesand single "Come Together" and a stint for Harley Davidson Motor Bikes. Having just released Gun Hill's first CD "Nightheat' and completed their German /Swiss Tour, he is already working on new material for a future CD. |
